David at a glance
David Mellor spent more than 25 years as a senior executive for two of the world’s biggest banks before setting up his own consultancy in 2001. Things didn’t immediately go to plan. The disastrous consequences of 9/11 threatened to scupper his fledging agency and he was forced to think like a real entrepreneur – on his feet – as he changed the business model. He subsequently developed not only a deep liking for fellow entrepreneurs but also a professional attachment to them. He is now a leading lecturer in entrepreneurial thinking and strategies at the Cass Business School, where he holds the title Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow.
