The Data Science for Executives course will teach delegates about the exciting and innovative discipline of data science, a field which has experienced a massive growth of 650% in job roles between 2012 and 2017. This statistic comes as no surprise given that more data will be generated in 2019 than has ever been produced in the last 5,000 years.

Course Overview

The main focus of the course will be to look at what the opportunities are in data science and how data scientists extract value from big data. Initially, you will learn how to identify trends in big data and the current technology used to do this. After you have developed these skills, you will be equipped with the know-how for developing data projects and managing a team of data scientists. By the end of the course, you will understand the nature of leadership in data science and how to apply what you’ve learnt to your business.

In addition, this course is powered by Tableau Software, an industry leading software company based in Seattle, Washington, that have created data analytics solutions to produce a variety of different information. Delegates will receive a one year learner license to use the programme on a non-commercial basis. The software will enable you to develop practical skills and a good insight into how big data is used in a real-life setting.

  • Education - Undergraduate degree or equivalent Higher Education qualification, or relevant work experience
  • English language - Common European Framework (CEF) Level B2* or equivalent (all teaching and learning materials are provided in English only)

*Please note those with a B1 level of English and relevant proof of further study will be considered.
